Hello, I am back again with another groundbreaking research and testing of Flipper Zero to Hack a traffic Signal technically.
But before proceeding forward do give me a like and a follow, that really does boost my confidence to write about different topics.
Let's begin, in this article, we will discuss how to hack into an Opticom system.
What is an Opticom System?
It is a system designed by Global Traffic Technologies that provides a Greenlight and therefore intersection right-of-way to Emergency vehicles.
Now let me teach you how to bypass an Opticom system, or technically hack it.
So, this system basically works on Infra Red lights, well in short, when an emergency vehicle approaches what the vehicle does is transmit IR light at a frequency of either 10, 12, or 14HZ, thus signaling the Opticom detector to change its light to GREEN immediately.
Now, for you to do the same, you need two important tools. One is the Flipper Zero and two is the High Power IR led Array.
We can buy a Flipper zero but the only problem is the array, so let's design one for our own use.
You can get an IR LED array online, I have given a source below, or you can scavenge one from a Night security camera. Better to buy it online as its cheap.
Make sure to detach the LDR, in it and solder the IRlights correctly.
